Sambusek at Rosewood Abu Dhabi has unveiled a range of new dishes and winter season promotions by Chef Emad Zalloum.

Residents and visitors can enjoy authentic Lebanese and Levantine dishes, as well as innovative new creations that blend traditional Lebanese flavours with the cosmopolitan touch of the UAE. 

The new promotions include “All You Can Eat at Al Hammra Street”, available daily at lunchtime for AED 99, offering guests a rich menu of 14 delectable and refillable hot and cold Lebanese mezzehs. The cold mezzeh options include hummus with tahini, eggplant mutabbal, tabboulet and Fattoush salads, stuffed vine leaves, Raheb, and labneh with garlic. On the hot mezzeh front, Sambusek offers chicken liver, makanek (lamb sausages), soujok, falafel, meat sambusek, cheese sambusek, and fried kebbeh. The menu additionally includes the mouthwatering traditional Lebanese dessert halawa trabolsyeh, made with sugar syrup and pistachio.

The a la carte menu at Sambusek has also been enriched with the introduction of new meat and fish specials, such as lamb kofta kababcharcoal-grilled lamb chopschicken shish tawokfried lady fish, and jumbo prawns grilled with garlic and lemon juice. Furthermore, Chef Emad has applied his culinary skill and creativity to create new flavours offered in such dishes as mango hummus, beetroot hummus, chocolate hummus and basil hummus. Vegans and vegetarians can also enjoy a new, dedicated set menu of Lebanese dishes.

Dinner time in Sambusek is deliciously enhanced with ‘The Levantine Route’ menu, available in two options, for AED 350 and AED 450. The menu offers the city’s gastronomes 15 Lebanese dishes inspired by various regions in Lebanon in preparation and presentation, including rare cold mezzehs like smoked hummus, Sidon salmon salad, and All Arab Sushi, made of pure lamb meat and spices. Hot mezzehs of The Levantine Route menu are equally exciting, with such options as fish kebbeh Abu Sfair, octopus al Raushy, fried asafeer (sparrow), and grilled halloumi cheese.

The Levantine Route’s main course, dubbed “Showtime at Jounieh” features charcoal-grilled lamb chops, jumbo prawns, and grilled seabass fillet seasoned with Arabic spices. For dessert, Sambusek’s dinner guests will enjoy Sambusek Sunset; a combination of cheese kenafeh and Arabic ice cream.

Lunch at Sambusek is available between 12pm and 6pm, whereas dinner is served from 6pm to midnight.

With its unique location at Al Maryah Island’s waterfront, a chic interior combining contemporary design elements and Arabic ornamentation, and a spacious terrace with a spectacular view of Abu Dhabi’s skyline, we think it may be time to re-visit this Lebanese favourite.
